Year Four: 2010
Now into 2010, Tuff Beans Coffeehouse is in its fifth year of business. We don't know where the last four years went, but you, our patrons, are the reason we're still here. Thank you to all - locals and visitors - for being a part of our history. We hope that we can be a part of your future as well. All the best in 2010 and beyond.
Menu Prices
The new year marks a time of change. One such change that we have been putting off for a few years now is increasing our prices. To date we have opted to pay the GST on all your purchases. Unfortunately due to the financial climate this is no longer feasible. Rather than increase our prices outright as of January 1, we will no longer be including the taxes in our menu prices. We are optimistic that this will be viewed by our guests in the same acceptable light as we see it.
Speaking of Taxes
The long (ahem!) anticipated HST looks more and more like a reality as we move into the new decade. We at Tuff Beans are consumers, just like everyone else. This entry on our website is not meant as a political attack or opinion, just a little public information. More About the HSTThe More Things Change
The more they stay the same. Our Barista and Kitchen staff are going to be more diligent than ever in delivering the consistent quality products and services that you have come to expect from Tuff Beans. Currently we are open based on our winter hours of operation. Mostly these hours are based on guest traffic through our doors. Expect our hours to increase as the daylight and traffic increase again. Our Evenings will be back in the spring.
